
From the Crib to Course: Truist Championship Celebrates Philly Newborns
PHILADELPHIA — To celebrate the start of tournament week, the Truist Championship is sharing a warm Philly welcome with the city’s newest arrivals. All babies born at Temple Health this week will receive a special onesie as a fun keepsake to mark the tournament’s one-time stop in the City of Brotherly Love.
“We’re excited to kick off tournament week by welcoming golf’s tiniest fans,” said Joie Chitwood, Executive Director of the Truist Championship. “With such an exciting week for Philly sports ahead, these little ones are ready to be part of the action.”
The Truist Championship, taking place May 7–11 at The Philadelphia Cricket Club's Wissahickon Course, will feature top PGA TOUR players, vibrant fan experiences, and a full slate of activities for the whole family.
Family-Friendly Highlights of the Truist Championship:
- Tickets: Children 15 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult, courtesy of Nemours Children’s Health.
- The Kids Zone presented by Nemours Children’s Health: This interactive area features a mini-golf maze for practicing putting skills, Wii golf, a coloring wall and books, golf-themed cornhole, and more—giving kids a chance to have fun while parents enjoy the action.
- Truist Fan Experience: Families c watch @Coach_Rusty create golf art, shoot for the high score on a virtual golf game, or add their name to a collaborative Truist Championship art piece. Moms can also stop by the Mother’s Day Lounge for complimentary treats and self-care on Saturday and Sunday.
- Family-Friendly Eats: Whether your crew is craving sweet treats or Philly staples, there’s something for everyone with local favorites like Hangry Bear Creamery, Chickie’s & Pete’s, Gazzo’s Steaks, and Federal Donuts & Chicken.
- Stroller Access: Families are welcome to bring strollers to enjoy the tournament.
- Parking & Transportation: Convenient parking and shuttle services make it easy for families to attend.
