Access, Opportunity & Development
Birdies for Better
Birdies for Better is a fundraising platform available to all nonprofits based in North Carolina and South Carolina. Charitable organizations are encouraged to invite their supporters to make a minimum $20 contribution that will allow them to guess the number of birdies that will be made during the competitive rounds of the 2027 Truist Championship (Thursday-Sunday). Individuals who guess the exact number of birdies (or closest to) will have the chance to win a grand prize. Participating charities will receive 100% of every donation collected for their organization in addition to a portion of funds from the $100,000 bonus pool provided by the Truist Championship. Nonprofit registration is available now and donor contributions will open on November 12.
Truist Championship Tuesday
This year we launched Truist Championship Tuesday as a new storytelling platform designed to elevate the people and organizations making a difference in our community. The goal is simple: use the reach of the tournament’s platform to shine a spotlight on local nonprofits and small businesses that are creating meaningful impact. While tournament week generates tremendous visibility, Truist Championship Tuesday gives us an opportunity to extend that visibility beyond tournament week and tell the stories of community partners year-round. Each feature spotlights an organization’s mission, the challenges it addresses, and the impact it’s making across the Carolinas.
Small Business
Our priority is to be intentional about how the tournament supports and celebrates local small businesses. Beyond hosting a world-class sporting event, we hope to create meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurs and local brands to gain exposure, connect with new customers, and benefit from the economic impact of tournament week. From local restaurants and retailers to makers and service providers, the small businesses that give our community its character are a big part of what makes this week special, and we want to help them shine. Access, Opportunity & Development Summit
The 2026 Access, Opportunity & Development Summit made its debut at Quail Hollow Club, in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday, August 23 – Monday, August 24 as a new annual platform combining corporate leadership access, elite competitive golf, and a dedicated development summit - all built around creating meaningful impact for a distinct participant group each summit. In its first year, the event left a measurable and lasting impact on every participant and laid out the groundwork for future renditions of the AOD Summit, each set to bring fresh audiences and new host locations into the fold.
